OV5640 is an OmniVision 1/4" rolling-shutter CMOS image sensor in the OmniBSI line, a long-running choice for embedded and module-grade color imaging. It outputs a 2592x1944 color array on 1.4 um pixels at 15 fps over MIPI CSI-2 or DVP. The rectilinear formula FoV = 2 × arctan(dimension ÷ (2 × focal length)) is incorrect for many lenses as it doesn't include distortion.
