7mm M12 Lens for 1/2" sensors such as MT9P031

The CIL872 is a compact 7.2mm M12 lens for 1/2" sensors like the MT9P031. At F/2.8 it resolves 5MP at 2.2μm pixel pitch, and it gives a 48° diagonal field of view across a 6.3mm image circle. The 2g weight also makes it easy to use in small embedded systems where the lens cannot dominate the mechanical stack.

Distortion stays under 1% TV. That is low enough for measurement, barcode reading, and inspection work where geometry matters. The 8.0mm image circle gives you extra margin on 1/2" sensors, which helps with coverage tolerance. calculate your field of view

The optics use a hybrid glass/plastic design in an AL6061 aluminum barrel with BBAR coating. The M12A variant ships without ingress protection, so it is a better fit for indoor or enclosed systems where weather sealing would only add cost and bulk.

The lens is mechanically compatible with the Commonlands CLA018 lens holder with 18mm spacing. e-con Systems boards work with the CLA021 adapter. Allied Vision Alvium, FLIR Blackfly S, iDS uEye LE, and The Imaging Source boards are not directly compatible, so you should check the camera datasheet before you lock the design.
