The CLA018-LCP is a low-CTE LCP M12x0.5 lens holder with 18mm hole spacing and an 8.4mm profile height. Its 13.2mm x 13.2mm footprint is the smallest in the Commonlands holder lineup, so it fits compact board layouts without giving up thermal stability.

LCP is the better material when temperature swing matters. Polycarbonate works well indoors, but LCP moves less as temperature changes, which helps the lens stay centered when the system cycles between -20°C and 60°C. That difference matters in outdoor, automotive, and industrial hardware where a small mechanical shift can show up as image tilt or focus drift.

The holder uses M1.6 self-tapping screws, and McMaster 99461A911 is the recommended part number. It is compatible with all Commonlands M12 lenses and third-party M12x0.5 optics. The CLA018-LCP is the default recommended mount for lenses such as the CIL018 and CIL027.

The lens is not included. Commonlands supports pre-assembly of lens and holder for orders of 100 or more if you want to remove that step from your build.
