What material is the CLA018-LCP M12 lens mount made from?
The CLA018-LCP is made from low-CTE liquid crystal polymer. That material expands much less than polycarbonate, so lens alignment stays more stable with temperature changes.
What is the hole spacing on the CLA018-LCP?
The CLA018-LCP has 18mm hole spacing with a 13.2mm x 13.2mm footprint. It uses M1.6 self-tapping screws, and McMaster 99461A911 is the recommended part number.
Why choose LCP over polycarbonate for an M12 lens holder?
Choose LCP when temperature swing matters. It keeps the lens centered better than polycarbonate in outdoor, automotive, or industrial systems cycling between -20°C and 60°C.
What M12 lenses work with the CLA018-LCP?
The CLA018-LCP works with all Commonlands M12 lenses and any standard M12x0.5 threaded optic. It is the default recommended holder for lenses such as the CIL018 and CIL027.
