2.1mm 150° Wide-Angle Lens for 1/2.5 Sensors

CIL821 is a short wide-angle M12 lens with a 2.1mm effective focal length, 150° field of view, and F/2.4 aperture. It is built around a 1/2.5" format, uses a 6.5mm image circle, and supports 6-8MP sensors with 1.85μm pixels. That makes it a clean fit for compact 4K-class embedded cameras that do not have room for a long optical stack.

The lens uses a hybrid glass/plastic design in an aluminum barrel and weighs only 4.0g. That low mass helps when holder stiffness, vibration, and package volume are real constraints instead of afterthoughts. Pick this lens when assembly length matters as much as field angle.

The tradeoff is distortion. The lens is specified at -19% TV at 6.7mm, so this is not the part to choose for low-distortion measurement or barcode work. It makes much more sense in doorbell cameras, security modules, and other systems where maximum coverage matters more than keeping straight lines straight.

Two mechanical options are listed. The M12B version has no ingress protection, while the M12C version uses a glued IP67 design. If the camera will face weather or washdown, the sealed version is the safer call. If the lens sits inside a sealed enclosure, the non-IP build may be enough.
