F-theta M12 Lens | 180°@6.6mm and 5MP for sensors such as AR0522

CIL324 is a 2.4mm F/1.9 M12 fisheye lens for systems that need full hemispheric-style coverage from a compact board camera. It gives 180° field of view with -12% F-Theta distortion at a 6.6mm image-circle diameter, which is the right trade when maximum scene coverage matters more than preserving straight lines.

The lens is built around a 7.1mm designed image circle (7.2mm maximum) and is specified for 1/2.5" sensors. The nominal lens rating is 2-3MP; performance on a newer high-density 5MP small-format sensor should be checked against the application's MTF requirements. It makes more sense when you care about wide coverage, lower-light performance, and moderate pixel pitch instead of chasing raw resolution.

The optical stack is all glass in an aluminum housing, and the lens weighs 7g. The 650nm IR cut config targets visible-light imaging where color fidelity matters more than near-IR transmission. The fast F/1.9 aperture also helps preserve exposure time and frame rate in dim scenes.

A standard version and a sealed version are available, and the M12B variant is rated IP69K. That makes the CIL324 a good fit for external vehicle cameras, industrial equipment, and other installations that need washdown-level sealing with a very wide field.
