Wide-Angle No-Distortion 2mm M12 Lens for 1/2.3" sensors such as IMX477 and IMX908

CIL023 is a wide-angle M12 lens for applications that need broad coverage without sliding all the way into fisheye behavior. It uses a 2.2mm effective focal length, a 121° field of view, and an F/2.2 aperture. The lens is specified for a 1/2.3" format with a 7.2mm image circle and 6MP resolution.

The reason to choose this part is distortion control. The lens is listed at -5% TV distortion in 4:3, which is much easier to manage than the geometry you get from a typical ultra-wide fisheye. If you need a wider view for robotics or embedded vision but still want calibration and scene interpretation to stay reasonable, this is the kind of lens that saves software work later.

The construction uses a hybrid glass/plastic stack in an AL6061 barrel, and the whole assembly weighs 9.3g. That gives you a sturdier package than the lightest plastic lenses while keeping size and weight within normal board-camera limits. NIR correction also makes it useful in cameras that switch to near-infrared illumination.

Two mechanical versions are offered. The M12A is the standard non-sealed option. The M12B adds IP67 protection with an all-aluminum cap and barrel. Use the non-sealed version inside an enclosure, and use the sealed version when the lens has to face dust, splash, or weather.
