CIL282 is a fisheye M12 lens built for broad sensor compatibility and strong low-light throughput. It combines a 2.2mm effective focal length with a 182° field of view and a fast F/1.8 aperture. The lens supports 5MP resolution with 2.2μm pixels and produces a 6.3mm image circle.

One of the practical strengths of CIL282 is format flexibility. It is specified for sensor sizes from 1/3" to 2/3", which gives you room to reuse the same lens family across multiple camera platforms. That can simplify prototyping and supply planning when the sensor choice is still moving.

The distortion is listed at -8% F-Theta, which is a sensible middle ground for a lens this wide. It stays wide enough for surround-view and monitoring work without pushing into the more extreme mapping behavior found in some ultra-fisheye designs.
