190° Compact M8 / M12 Fisheye Lens for 3MP-5MP Sensors

CIL818 is the compact fisheye option when you need either M8A, M12A, or M12B mechanics. The 1.75mm EFL, F/2.05 aperture, and 5.1mm image circle give 190 degrees according to the specification table, while the full image circle is 5.3mm. The product page also places it in the 195-degree to 200-degree miniature fisheye class, which is why it shows up in ultra-wide embedded camera searches.

The lens covers sensors from 1/3.6" to 1/1.8" with 3-5MP resolution at 3μm pixels. If you are using AR0230-class sensors and need more coverage without a bulky lens stack, this is a sensible direction. The low mass helps too, and the M8 version weighs just 1.4g.

Construction is hybrid glass and plastic. The M8 version uses an AL6061 cap and barrel. The M12A version uses an AL6061 cap with a plastic barrel, while the M12B version switches to an AL6061 barrel. All listed variants are IP67 rated and use BBAR on lens 1 surface 1.

The recommended holder is CLA017. e-con Systems boards with a 5-7mm holder height are the cleanest fit. Allied Vision, FLIR, iDS uEye LE, and The Imaging Source are listed as incompatible, and Basler is inquiry-only.
